With increasing numbers of burglaries taking place, the residents of Bromyard estate and the police have joined forces to put an end to these unfortunate events. The launch of a new Neighbourhood Watch scheme and extra patrols have instilled confidence in the vulnerable residents of Linton Park after a spate of burglaries.
Managers of the estate, Liz and Chris Watkins, were the ones that got in touch with the police at the beginning of the year after a number of burglaries. While residents were being encouraged to look out for their neighbours, Pete Knight, Community Support Officer made extra visits to the area.
Knight said that since the launch of the project, burglary in the area definitely became less common. Since then, no thefts have been reported and people are feeling safer than they used to.
It is important for people to know in these uncertain times that these occurrences can happen at any time and being prepared can help a great deal. Homeowners are being advised to install home security safes so that their valuables are protected better and the chances of them getting stolen are reduced. The installation of security safes in the home can assure people that whether or not they are at home, important items will be safeguarded at all times.
