Last month, a raid was conducted on a home in High Street, Mawdesley. The burglars who raided the Chorley home managed to get away with jewellery that was worth thousands of pounds.

Apparently the burglars smashed a window before fleeing from the property with the jewellery. Det. Sgt. Graham Hill of Chorley’s CID said that the incident was most probably linked to a series of other burglaries in other Chorley villages. The police are encouraging anyone with information on the burglary to speak up and are also reminding residents to pay more heed to personal security.
