There has been a great deal of burglary in the past few months. Every day many cases of burglary are being reported from different parts of the country.

On 14th December, three burglars targeted the home of an 87 year old lady. It was a little after 8pm when three masked men broke into the house located in Toragh Park in Newry.

One of the three thieves was carrying a knife. When the elderly lady saw the weapon she went into a state of shock. However, the lady’s caretaker arrived just in time and the burglars had to flee without stealing anything.

Although nothing was stolen the shocked lady had to be treated after the incident. It was her good luck that her caretaker showed up at that time, but you might not be so lucky.

It is high time that you purchased a safe and put a proper locking system on your door. A good safe keeps all your valuables safe from burglars and being careful regarding locking the doors will keep the unwanted intruders out. Safes should be carefully hidden so that in case of a break-in the burglars cannot carry it away or blackmail you to open it.
